other. The Rod’s Rub product line consists of 5 dry rubs: Original,
Sweet Mesquite, Steak Out!, In the Black, and Citrus Tang. Primarily
used as dry rubs, the products can be used as all-purpose spices
as – a great addition to recipes and as a starter base for sauces
and soups.
Perhaps the most important ingredient in Rod’s Rub is “family.”
Our business is family-owned, and our products are backed by
our personal commitment to excellence. Operated by Rod and Melanie
Brown, Rod Brown was an Atlanta City Police Officer for almost
10 years. During his tenure as a police officer, Rod was asked
to create custom blends for a restaurant opening in Atlanta.
His local reputation as a BBQ expert grew as he was featured
on The Food Network’s “The Hungry Detective” when Rod served
as Atlanta’s BBQ expert.
Rod’s Rub is a true dry rub product, using only the finest ingredients,
eliminating salt fillers found in most commercially available
rubs. They are rich in flavor and in fun. All five Rod’s Rub
products are all-natural and have no MSG. Our Original, Sweet
Mesquite and Citrus Tang are also low-sodium. Our Steak Out!
and In the Black are lower-in-sodium products.
